# ChatGPT: the suggested result was rejected

> What to click when Check ChatGPT Result rejects a proposed answer.

# ChatGPT returned an answer, but Parser Studio rejected it

**Situation:** You asked ChatGPT for help with an unfamiliar log. You copied the answer back into Parser Studio, clicked **Check ChatGPT Result**, and received an error or unsupported notice.

## Walkthrough

1. Keep the **Original local logs** unchanged so you can compare the next suggestion with the same source.
2. In **3. Paste the ChatGPT result**, check that the response is valid **ParserRecipe v0.2 JSON**, not a paragraph, Markdown fence or executable Ruby/Python.
3. Read the rejection reason. For example, the candidate might have an unsupported operation, changed source fingerprint or invalid schema.
4. Return to the ChatGPT conversation and provide only the error description and a **manually reviewed fictional/masked** example. Request a revised, restricted JSON recipe—not a bypass or arbitrary script.
5. Paste the updated response into **ChatGPT result JSON** and press **Check ChatGPT Result** again.
6. If the change passes schema checks, use **Additional ChatGPT test logs** when prompted before approval.

## Expected review outcome

Only a supported structured answer can proceed to further validation. Unsupported or malformed responses do not modify your existing working parser.

## Recovery path

If a correctable response still cannot be accepted, preserve the original sample and return to **Auto Parser**. Do not claim the result was generated or use executable content to sidestep checks.
